Yet Another Skincare Splurge + Life Update
If you have been following my blog for a while, you’ll know as much as I love makeup, skincare has always been my priority and that’s where I don’t mind splurging. Well, I’m guilty of splurging a little too much on skincare but again, I slowly grew my little collection, and that’s something I love to experiment with. Anyhow, since I don’t talk about my personal life, or my lifestyle too much on my blog, none of you might know that from past few months I have been making some lifestyle changes. Ever since I have become a Mother I have started to realize even though we have a healthy lifestyle, we do everything in moderation but there’s a lot of room for improvement, especially in myself. And it’s not only good for me but also to set a good base for my little girl for the life she has ahead of her.
I have been adding and eliminating a lot of things from our lifestyle and at this point, I wouldn’t wanna categorize myself into any “group” I’m just opting for more bio/organic healthier options. Coke Zero is my weakness, more than I’d like to admit. Well okay ! I almost had an addiction. But I’ve cut it down to almost nothing. And it’s going to take a while if I started talking about more lifestyle changes. In a nutshell I’m just educating myself on what goes inside our bodies and how it affects us. Basically I’m the one in our house who needs to strive towards a better lifestyle the most.
Don’t worry the whole rant was not for nothing. This leads me to the skincare splurge. When you change your lifestyle your body literally freaks out and reacts badly to everything. It’s different for everyone, but you’ll experience some unpleasantness in the beginning, or may be for a long time. I’m mindful of that, that’s why quitting is not an option. These big lifestyle changes have been traumatic on my body and I’ve been getting really bad acne. And the kind of acne I get is not that just comes and goes or pops out on it’s own Nope !
I get really stubborn deep-rooted, ingrown acne. That firstly doesn’t wanna come out what-so-ever and secondly it leaves a horrible scar. The pigmentation and marks behind take months to fade away. Shiseido Intensive Anti-Spot Serum is basically to prevent and get rid of those scars and also to lighten the age spots and sutff, but that’s not what I’m looking for.
I just started using it, so obviously I can’t share my thoughts just yet, or for a while, unless I see visible difference. The price-tag it comes with I expect it to do miracles but that’s not how it works. However I wouldn’t mind fast results(pff). I will keep you guys updated on how it goes. Even though the acne is not so bad I’d still like to be prepared for what more is to come. Because in the beginning it always sucks and then your body starts to get used to it.
This post wasn’t like my usual posts. But still I hope you find this helpful in someway.
