Winter Body Cream Cocktail
Cold weather, hmm well! I’m not a big cold weather person, I’d rather take spring/summer allergies and scorching heat over cold weather, now I’ll leave it at that for you to figure out my love for this weather. There’re not many things that I love about winter, but there’s a long list of things that I don’t like, one of them is constant need to moisturize. I hate the feeling of dry hands, dry lips, dry feet, well dry skin in general. It makes me so darn uncomfortable. To find the silver lining in the situation I like to use body products that I love.
I go through tubs and tubs of body creams/body butters in winter, and this winter is no exception. When I shared “Me-Time Shenanigans” I talked about Rituals Touch of Happiness Body cream, which I’ve already used up, and now I’m on to Rituals Cosmetics Honey Touch body cream. I like very mild, pleasant earthy scents, instead of super sweet and strong scents. “Touch of Happiness(sweet orange and cedar wood)” is a very warm, a little spicy, and unique wintery scent, which not many people like, my husband didn’t like it very much, but I Loved it!
Rituals Cosmetics Touch of happiness is a sweet floral scent, which is not too strong. Of course it’s gonna smell sweet and floral because of Indian rose and Himalaya honey, but to tone it down a little, and make it more moisturizing I like to mix it with Bioderma Atoderm Creme. Because my skin tends to get so freakin’ dry in cold weather, I always mix it with a really potent medicinal moisturizer. But most medicinal moisturizers smell awful. That’s why I like to make a body cream cocktail, to cancel out the medicinal scent and tone down the sweet floral scent. Currently it’s Rituals Cosmetics Honey Touch + Bioderma Atoderm Creme. This way, you can really intensify the moisturization, without smelling like a pharmacy.
I hope you find this post helpful.
