When the reality hits
We are backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk from our vacation. Oh the sweet sleep in your own bed, your own toilet and shower Haha Nothing like it I tell ya. True relaxing experience, using your own toilet(lol). We came back home last night, and luckily everything was absolutely fine. Got the best sleep after a whole week, felt great, home is home. But when I woke up this morning. Oh it was when the reality sunk in completely.
Hubby back to work
Well I love having him around, and it’s the hardest adjustment for me after a vacation to be honest. Getting used to it takes more time than other things.
5 suitcases right in front of the door. Which obviously, I already emptied and put everything where it belongs, because I’m a psycho and mess drives me crazy, which doesn’t go well with being a mom(lol).
Mount Everest of Laundry
I hate doing laundry, and dishes. But of course I’ve made peace with it(lol). The amount of laundry at the moment scares me. That’s why before leaving for vacation I make sure there’s no dirty laundry left, even though there’s no such thing as no dirty laundry at all, but I try okay!
I don’t like when food goes bad, it really bothers me and makes me feel guilty. So before leaving for vacation I make sure we only buy the stuff we need and I like to make sure fridge is almost empty and clean, with bare necessities, but now I’ve to whip things up somehow until I go grocery shop and btw the weather sucks; which brings me to my next point,
Weather SUCKS !
I don’t like taking vacations mid-summer at all, like I can’t take that much sun, yes I love it, but too much of everything is a bad thing haha. Yes, That’s my justification. No but I can’t stand to much heat. So we only go for vacations when the weather is not too hot and not too cold, which is also great if you have kids, you don’t have to wait out the peak hours of sun. So for that reason when we come back from vacation the weather SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS! When we landed it was raining AF and COLDDDD! uhh!
Getting back to normal routine
You see I get spoiled on vacations. No cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry or anything like that for that matter, so when I come back and I have to do all that again, well ! it takes a little bit time to totally adjust.
There’s no place like home
But honestly they say it right, there’s no place like home. I feel like my home is the most peaceful place for me, which I’m grateful for, and yes we all enjoy a vacation every now and then but it’s always great to be back home.
I hope you find this post helpful, in someway.
