Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Review

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands. So far, every product that I’ve tried from the brand hasn’t disappointed. Since this product comes with the longest list of claims, let’s get straight in to the review.

On the website this product is described as;

” PRODUCT DESCRIPTION. Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin to give you full coverage in an instant. For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and NEVER settles into fine lines.

We loaded Naked Skin Concealer with lots of ingredients that are good for your skin. Matrixyl 3000 contains anti-wrinkle peptides to improve skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity. Japanese green tea revitalizes and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. Litchiderm™ (derived from lychee fruit) protects against dehydration, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion. And sodium hyaluronate helps skin attract and retain moisture.

Practical and travel-friendly, this formula comes in a gorgeous bottle that’s like a smaller version of our Naked Skin Liquid Makeup component. The modern flocked applicator lays down just the right amount of product, and it’s soft enough to use on the delicate skin under the eyes. Naked Skin Concealer comes in a range of meticulously calibrated shades that coordinate with Naked Skin Powder Foundation. Our shade-matching system provides a clear starting point for finding your perfect shade: the first part represents shade intensity, and the second indicates shade undertone.”

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer Review

This product is a tricky one. It works like a magic for some, and nightmare for other. I know people who love it, and it’s one of their holy grail products, but I also know of people who think it’s such a disappointing product, and same goes to the reviews on the internet. I personally do enjoy this product, but it didn’t rock my socks off like I expected it to. I don’t like it any more than my Maybelline Anti-age under eye eraser. However I do think this one is very light-weight as compare to the Anti-age eraser. I bought light-medium, and it works for me as a light-weight concealer, not a highlighting one. If you’re looking for a highlighting concealer you can go a shade lighter.

It didn’t work for me as a complete coverage concealer, I had to build it up, and yes it’s buildable. It blends beautifully. As far as anti-aging properties go, I’m using it from a couple of months now but I haven’t noticed any difference. May be it’s a long term thing, like other skincare products, but I haven’t noticed any difference.

The packaging is gorgeous, and the applicator is really easy to use, and grabs and applies just the right amount of product. I think it feels very much like Maybelline FIT ME concealer with a better applicator. In my opinion, that’s the best I can describe. And yes FIT ME is one of my favorite concealers as well.

If I had to rate it out of 5, I’d give Urban decay naked skin concealer 3.5. However I do think if your under-eye area needs some extra help you might like this product more than me. But again I’m sharing my experience with this product.
