The Acne Fighters

The Acne Fighters

The worst of all uninvited guests, Acne! Does it ever happen to you, the moment you feel that extra spring in your step because your skin is doing so well, and suddenly it starts acting up ? Or is it just me. Acne is inevitable, there’re so many factors that cause your skin to act up, from certain foods and allergies to hormonal changes and skincare mistakes, everything has an impact on your skin. In today’s blog post I’m sharing how I prevent and treat acne. These’re my favorite products and techniques that I have been using for YEARS, and YEARS and YEARS.

This is my top favorite technique to prevent acne and it works like a DREAM! (Once or twice a week) Add few drops of tea tree oil in steaming water and let the steam seep through your pores. (Tea tree oil is only used topically. Never ever ingest or bring it closer to your eyes and keep it away from children. Do your research on tea tree oil to always stay on the safe side.)

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

(Spot treatment)

Tea tree oil is too harsh and drying for your skin on it’s own. You always have to dilute it before applying to your skin. But this product from body shop is already diluted and can directly be used for spot treating acne.

Mario Badescu Drying Cream

The Drying Lotion from Mario Badescu is another favorite, but I don’t use it anymore only because I think this cream works better for me. And it lasts forever. The mario badescu drying cream is a thick pasty consistency, it has a pungent smell, so if you’re sensitive to smells, you might not wanna try it. But tbh Tea tree oil itself has a pungent scent too. I’m super sensitive to smells, but after a while you don’t even feel it. This product is great for drying out acne. But I rarely ever get to use it because tea tree oil does the trick pretty well.

I hope you find this post helpful.
