If I summarize the month of September, it has been a really fun but a hectic month. I have been really busy, more than usual. And I have quite a few things that I have loved this month to share. This year is passing by so quickly, and I’m glad it is. Anyhow! Without beating around the bush, let’s talk about the things I have discovered and loved this month,
First Fall Lipstick
I absolutely love fall colors, whether it’s leaves or makeup. Marc Jacobs Rei of Light has been my favorite this month. It’s such a gorgeous brownish-red shade, absolutely perfect for fall. (Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme Rei of Light Review)
Not so Autumnal Scent
Okay I have mentioned this on my blog plenty of times that I’m very particular with the scents I wear. I like floral scents, not the flower bouquet over-empowering ones, but the ones that smell natural and earthy. If you read my “Rituals Haul” you must have seen it, Fluers de L’Himalaya from rituals cosmetics has been my absolute favorite scent. I hopped on the internet to find it, but couldn’t find it or it was sold out. Until I can find a giant bottle of this perfume I’m gonna have to use it sparingly.
If you’re on a budget or if you just like a certain lip liner shade a lot, you can totally use it as a lipstick. Apply lip balm first let your lips get moisturized, after that dab off the lip balm residue with a tissue paper and apply the lip liner and fill the lips, and apply a littttttle bit of balm on top as well. It will totally look like a lipstick. L’Oreal Color Riche Lip Couture Lip Pencil “300 Velvet Robe” is such a gorgeous fall burgundy lip color. The pencil itself is a little hard, since it’s a wooden lip pencil, but paired with lip balm works absolutely fine.
So I shared a review on this mascara and I was very unsure about this mascara, I still am but the more I use it the more I love it. You know that person you really love, but they are super demanding, and you feel like I don’t know how long I can put up with your sh*t (lol), well that’s what this mascara feels like. I love the look I get with this mascara but it’s just too much effort and time. (L’Oreal False Lash Super Star Mascara Review)
Basically this whole month my nails were two colors, I kept repainting them. White and Black, well blue too, I didn’t like the shade on myself so I removed it. Winter baby from Maybelline Color Show by Color Drama range, is a plain white nail paint, and I topped it up with L’Oreal Infallible 2 step nail polish clear top coat, and it stayed on my nails for more than 4 days which takes a miracle tbh, pretty impressed. And for black, it’s from essence, Latex effect nail polish. It gives a semi-matte, faux leather kind of finish, super fall appropriate. If black nails are your thing definitely give it a go. This pair has got me through this month. We went to Barcelona and a lot of walking was involved on the trip. I bought this pair of blush slip-ons from ZARA in the beginning of September, and they are already so worn out.
Kiko Moon Shadow, Water Infused Eyeshadow
I bought this from duty-free kiko store and I started using it once I reached my destination haha. I absolutely love it. I have an insta-makeup-tutorial using this eyeshadow stick on my instagram. If you like bright gold shimmery lids, you’ll love it. 01 Glamour Gold. (kiko haul)
Max Factor Face Finity all day primer
I normally only wear makeup on weekends, and quick little touch ups everytime I have to go to places like grocery store or something like that. So I never really need to use a primer. But this month has been B U S Y ! and I needed my makeup to last through the day, didn’t have time to check if everything looked fine or not, Max factor face finity all day primer came in handy and kept my makeup stay put through out the long days.
I love Essence, it’s such an affordable brand, but like all brand there’re hits and misses. This Water proof eyeliner pen from Essence is Everything! It has stiff but flexible enough tip to apply perfect wings. Whether you apply a thin line or bold wings this eyeliner is PERFECT ! you get the most control and precision with this one. If you struggle with your eyeliner, try this one out. It’s pretty inexpensive.
Oldie but a goodie
Urban decay naked palettes are perfection. Especially the original Naked palette. It is absolutely perfect, all the shades compliment my skin-tone and undertones as well. And it’s amazing how many looks you can create with this palette, I wish they put a matte black instead of shimmery black but it’s alright. I was thinking to switch the black eyeshadows, since naked 2 has a matte black eyeshadow.
Oh Sunnies !
I love sunnies. And once I find a pair that I love I wear it to death, until it dies on me(lol). I bought this pair from a random shop in Barcelona. It’s perfection ! I absolutely love it. Love the animal print, the frame, and the gold accent, totally my style, love it. Perfection !
In all honesty I’m not for strobing, I like a good contour. but heavy highlight, any day ! I shared a review on Sleek Highlight palette, and the only shade sane enough to use as a highlight, for me is “renaissance gold”, I have been loving layering it with the mary lou manizer highlight by the balm to intensify the highlight. (sleek highlight palette review)
This lipstick has been my favorite ever since I have bought it, not just this month. I love beige-nude and also pink-nudes and you get the best of both worlds with this MAC matte lipstick “Kinda Sexy”.
It was a gift from my brother on my birthday, in August and it takes amazing close-up shots. It’s a fun little gadget for me and random fact, I really love photography, but anyone with a professional camera considers themselves a photographer(lol), oh including myself ! I love capturing moments and it happens to work in my favor for this little hobby of mine.
In Love is an understatement
Oh my goodness. I’m one of those people who love and hate moisturizing their body. I hate the residue body butters leave. I discovered this new brand “rituals” and I AM OBSSSSESSSSEDDD ! currently I’m using “Touch of happiness” (sweet orange & cedar wood), it smells ahhmazing, very fall appropriate warm fragrance, and it doesn’t leave any residue what-so-ever.
These’re my favorites from the month of September. What products have you been loving lately ?
I hope you find this post helpful in someway.
