Past couple of months have been so hectic. As I mentioned in my previous blog post I was visiting my family and friends, there was a lot going on, from weddings to sleepovers and all that shebang. I packed some tried and tested makeup products to rely on, and also I added few new products to try out. In this blog post I’m sharing some of my new favorite products,
MAC FIX+ has been everything. I’ve used it for so many different purposes, if you want to know how I use MAC FIX+ let me know I’ll write a post on it. Since I’ve combination skin to begin with it actually made my face look really greasy and tacky at first, but then I customized the way I use it and it has changed my makeup game like nothing else. It’s definitely an absolute must-have product for me now.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear On-The-Spot Gel has been another favorite, travelling means change in everything, from what you eat and drink to environment and atmosphere, which obviously causes acne, Neutrogena On the spot gel has been a savior. Lip balm is something I have to have, otherwise I start looking sick and dead, and also I love using matte lipsticks, and if your lips are not properly moisturized before hand, it just looks awful. From full-on makeup days to no makeup days, a tinted lip balm is what you need. I don’t like super tinted lip balms, just a little tint, and NIVEA Fruity Shine Cherry is perfect for that.
NYX Roll on shimmers are an old favorite but I tried out few new shades and fell back in love with it. Even though it is a tricky product to use, but if you use it right, it looks absolutely gorgeous.
BH cosmetics Carli Bybel Palette is so inexpensive and so amazing. It’s a total steal and I absolutely love the pigmentation, application and options in this palette.
Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer has a lot of hype around it, I love it because it’s super light weight, but quite honestly I love it just as much as I love my Maybelline age rewind concealer, but the only thing that I like better is UD naked skin concealer is super light weight, I haven’t bought it in highlighting shade, I like to use it on minimal makeup days.
BH cosmetics liquid lipsticks are so not talked about but they’re better than so many liquid lipsticks that I’ve tried, quite honestly my most favorite formula is Lime Crime but because of so many controversies attached to that brand I never recommend it. BH cosmetics liquid lipsticks are worth giving a shot. “SERENA” is a gorgeous nudey-coral all year round shade which I’ve worn a whole lot recently.
Makeup Forever Professional HD powder, I’ve been dealing with a lot of under eye concealer creasing, obviously not getting any sleep and of course getting older haha, adds up to the creasing, plus I’ve been so bad with skincare lately, but anyhow, this is a very light weight and finely milled HD setting powder, and it has really helped me avoid under eye concealer creasing.
I’ve very fragile and soft nails, nail polish doesn’t last a day if I don’t use a good top coat. Sally Hansen Top coat is a very good option if you’re looking for a good top coat.
Sephora Crayon Kohl – Nude + KIKO rebel Romantic eye pencil 04 Amazon Blue = Bright Wide Open eyes. Blue is way less harsh than black and also contrasts with my brown eyes and makes them pop, makes the eyes look brighter, and nude eye pencil really opens up the eyes.
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liners are to-die-for. Using glitter can be tricky, if you want that glittery eye makeup but can’t deal with messy glitter, get yourself UD heavy metal glitter eyeliner.
Too Faced Endless Summer + Zoeva 126 LUXE Cheek Brush has been everything, I like bronze/tanned skin and it has helped me achieve that look so easily, it blends everything so perfect and applies the perfect amount of pigmentation. This combo has been one of my faves recently.
Batiste dry shampoo is my ultimate favorite and it is no secret to anyone who follows my blog, however this sassy and daring Wild one is my absolute new favorite, this scent is so much better than floral and flirty.
If you’re a beginner I really recommend you getting a BH palette, 88 Neutrals palette has been my go to lately, it has all the shades I need, plus when I need a little more pigmentation I use fix+, it does have fall out, but if you’re a little careful you can get away with it very easily, while having so many options in one place for such an amazing price.
Yes my favorite posts are always longer than my usual posts, but that’s why I prefer doing recent favorites and share my really favorite products instead of monthly favorites. These’re my new favorite products, these’re the products which are worth spending your money on, in my opinion.
I hope you find this post helpful.
