Purple Haze

Purple Haze

I know a lot of people love Purple color. But incorporating that color into your makeup can be pretty intimidating. This makeup look is perfect for those who want to add a pop of color to their makeup but still want to keep it subtle. I created a purple haze on the eyes and balanced it out with a silver creamy eyesahdow. This makeup look is a perfect balance of subtle and statement. It is bold without being over the top, it makes a very subtle statement and I absolutely love it. It makes your eyes look very doll like and dreamy. This look would go perfect with any kind of outfit, which is my most favorite thing about it. I added a very very, very little wing in the inner corner of the eyes as well just to give a little hint of middle eastern makeup look. It really elongates the eyes and makes them look bigger and wider. I think this look is perfect for people with hooded eyes as well, because you can totally create an illusion of a rounder crease with the purple eyeshadow, which I will show you in this blog. So let’s get started,

Step #1

I used a matte purple eyeshadow and applied on top of my crease, I wanted to create a really rounded crease effect, so I did, as you can see in the picture. Make sure you use a matte eyeshadow when you try to create a rounded crease effect.

To deepen the round crease effect more I added a darker plumish brown eyeshadow in the crease and didn’t blend it too much. Since I am creating a purple haze, and my crease has a really deep fold, when I look up all the eyeshadow disappear, and I wanted the purple haze to show up even when my eyes are open. Blend it just enough that it doesn’t look to harsh but keep it concentrated for the most part.

Step #3

It really helps to keep your eyes open when you create a rounded crease effect and look straight so you know exactly how it will look when your eyes are open. As you can see now in the picture when my eyes are open you can not see the dark plumish brown eyeshadow too much and it looks hazey, which is the look we are going for. Anyway then I added a creamy silver eyeshadow. Any silver eyeshadow would do, creamy eyeshadows are opaque and I wanted a really opaque silver application.

More like step 4 5 6(lol). Anyway. After that I applied a silver glitter over the top of silver creamy eyeshadow. And applied dark plumish brown eyeshadow on the lower lashline and blended it with the matte purple eyeshadow. Then I applied a nude eye pencil in the water line and black eye pencil in the tight line, after that winged eyeliner and few coats of mascara and the eye makeup is done.

I wore a greyish brown matte liquid lipstick. I know I wear weird lip shades. I like weird lip shades you can totally skip and use a more pinky nude lipstick with this eye makeup. It will look ahhmazing.

I hope you loved this makeup look as much as I did, if you try it out, don’t forget to share you pictures with me.

Good Luck!

Love,

Zunaira Sulman.
