Metallic Wing & Nude Lips | Spring 2016 Makeup
In yesterday’s post I shared a “sunset-orange spring makeup-look”, which was very subtle and fresh, this one, I just took up a notch, it’s still subtle, but a little more detailed. Every spring we get to see neon or metallic eyeliners on the runway. Even though I’m pretty bold with my makeup choices, I can wear really graphic and artistic makeup looks and still feel comfortable, but personally I do prefer subtle metallic eyeliners over the neon ones. For this look I used “Essence Liquid Ink Eyeliner 02 Brozy & Clyde.”
Since I wanted the look to be subtle I didn’t add super contrasting color on the lid. I kept it pretty neutral and matte. For more popping metallic look use a lighter lid eyeshadow. Again, I used “Sleek eye and cheek palette, Dancing till Dusk” in the same way I used in the previous look. Burnt-Orange in the crease and up, Matte Brown for Outer V of the eyes, and I applied the light matte neutral eyeshadow on the lid.
For lower lash line, I used Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil “17 Tu-tu Turquoise” and used “Gonzo” from Urban decay Electric Palette to set it.
For lips, I used Charlotte tilbury lip cheat “pillow talk” and MAC matte lipstick “kinda sexy”. I know this look is not everyone’s cup of tea but I also know those who enjoy being experimental with their makeup can appreciate it. Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing more spring makeup ideas.
I hope you find this post helpful.
