L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara Review
Just to be clear, my lash-game is not strong. It’s weak to the point where I don’t even mind a little clumpier mascara application to make them look prominent. When I was expecting my little girl, who is now 2 years old, my lashes literally shed, I still don’t know what it was about, but my lashes haven’t been the same ever since and also I don’t wear false lashes, not so fancy. So Mascara for me is kinda tricky makeup product. On the very rare occasions that I choose to try out a new mascara instead of buying the same one over and over again I went with L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara.
L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara
It’s a two step mascara, with a base and top coat. Usually two step mascara’s require more time and effort but if it works, I’m willing to use it. So I tried out this mascara and to be honest I have mixed thoughts.
The First Step base is “white” like all the other 2 steps mascaras. I find it to be more of a lengthening base than volumizing. If you are looking for a volumizing mascara this one is definitely not the one for you. It definitely lengthens the lashes. One thing I really like is, usually the first white base of 2 steps mascaras is always very fibery and goopy, which volumizes and lengthens the lashes but also makes them look very messy. I’m not a fan of those heavy thick mascaras. I definitely think L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara is more subtle and easy to work with as compare to those.
The Second coat is black, and you basically cover the white base and it makes them look longer and also separated. It’s a little bit of work to cover all the lashes but that is expected considering it is a two steps mascara.
Overall, it’s a dry formula. I definitely like that. The wands are slightly thin and curved, which is great for the precision in the application. It does start to flake after few hours and also comes off very easily, which is a good and a bad thing at the same time. Because if it’s humid or you have oily lids, it’s going to smudge on you, very easily.I think L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara gives a very subtle but noticeable difference in the length of your lashes and it’s great for everyday mascara wear if you have really tiny lashes like I do. However I also think L’Oreal False Lash Flutter, which is a one step mascara, is way better and easier to work with.
I think there’re way better mascara for the same price and less, than L’Oreal False Lash SuperStar Mascara, but that’s just my opinion. I’ll use it but I’m not sure yet, if I’ll repurchase it.
I hope you find this post helpful.
