Little Chanel Tradition
Last weekend was “Eid Weekend”. Eid isn’t the same where I live, neither do I enjoy it as much anymore tbh, I get emotional around this time of the year, and miss my family and friends more than usual. I think anyone who lives away from their family and friends like family, can relate. Whenever it’s festive, you want to be around your loved ones, when they live so far away from you, those festivities are not the same. Fortunately I’m very much blessed to have an AHHMAZING husband, and the most amazing daughter; to make new traditions with. “Chand Raat” (the night before Eid) is like a shopping night for everyone, especially girls/women. So my husband and I have this little tradition, that on “chand raat” I can treat myself to anything Chanel, not that I can’t during the rest of the year, but you get what I mean.
This Eid, I bought a couple of things from Chanel, some from Estee Lauder and Clinique. In today’s blog post I’m sharing two of the Chanel Makeup products I got. and rest I’ll leave for another day.
LE CRAYON YEUX
Precision Eye Definer
70 Khaki Platine
On Chanel Website, this product is described as, “Line eyes quickly and easily with an eye crayon that achieves a variety of effects, from a subtle yet precise look, to a more dramatic definition. The built-in smudge applicator perfects a smoky eye look, while a companion sharpener ensures the pencil is always ready for lining.”
I think this product is very versatile. We all know how trendy “khaki” is at the moment. And also the metallic-shine adds to the trendiness. This kind of color looks perfect in every season. That’s why I went for 70 Khaki Platine, so I can use it now and also this coming fall/winter as well.
Obviously the packaging is Chic and just how I like. I have always been an old soul, I like chic and simple packaging. This product is creamy, the application is very smooth and easy, but it’s not so creamy that it would move around the eyelid through the day. It’s the perfect amount of creaminess. It comes with a sharpener, and a smudger on the other side of the pencil.
ROUGE COCO SHINE
Hydrating Colour Lipshine
On Chanel Website, this product is described as, “The next chapter in the brilliant ROUGE COCO SHINE story: ROUGE COCO SHINE Hydrating Colour Lipshine, an innovative formula with intensified pigments to take colour and sheen to a new level of vibrancy. Sheer, shiny, colour-rich shades are effortlessly chic, infinitelywearable. Hydratendre Complex softens and plumps lips for a healthier, fuller appearance.”
The Patent shiny Lips are becoming a huge trend now. Not that it’s anything new, but recently with the opaque matte liquid lipsticks being all the hype, it kinda feels refreshing and different. It’s so summer appropriate and comfortable to wear as well. MAC recently released Patent-Polish lip pencils, which is almost the same thing. Sheer, hydrating, patent lip shine. I don’t have very many sheer lip products in my collection, plus I liked the color, so I went with #79 SAGA. It’s a very natural and everyday kinda color, which goes with any makeup look and works just fine on it’s own as well; just to add some life in to your lips. Tbh there’s plenty of pigmentation for being a hydrating sheer lip product.
Both of these products are very versatile and can be transitioned into any season.
I hope you find this post helpful.
