HM HALO ILLUMINISER – Champagne Gold

So H&M recently launched their beauty range. The other day I was surprised to see their makeup display at H&M. It looked very pretty. I have a thing for whites and golds, which got me more excited about the makeup-display. I think this time of the year is perfect to try strobing (intense highlighting), if you haven’t already. I find that strong highlight on tanned skin looks absolutely gorgeous, so I grabbed H&M HALO ILLUMINISER – Champagne Gold.

There’re 3 shades,

  1. Delicate Pearl,  frosty-pinkish highlight. (lightest)
  2. Champagne Gold – light gold highlight. (medium)
  3. Golden Tan – darker olive toned highlight. (darkest)

I chose Champagne Gold, because I prefer gold highlight over really icey and frosty pinks. Like all liquid/cream highlighting products, it does have a slightly tacky texture, but once it sets, the tackiness goes away. You can use it under your foundation as a primer, for glow-from-within look, or mix it with your foundation for over-all glow or You can also use it to spot highlight over your foundation, this product is pretty versatile.

It has micro-glitter in it, which I don’t mind anymore. Thanks to Becca shimmering skin perfectors, I have grown to like micro-glitter. You can really control the amount of glow/highlight with this product. You can use a brush, your fingertips or a beauty blender to apply this product, there’s no wrong way to do it. Pretty easy to use. And you only need the tiniest bit. It’s gonna last you forever.

The packaging is simple, fuss-free and beautiful. I like the combination of white and gold for the packaging. To some it up, I like it, and I look forward to use it this spring and summer.
