Everyday Foundation Routine
I don’t wear makeup every single day. When I say “Everyday Foundation Routine” I mean days when I put on makeup for casual affairs and nothing special. I recently shared “Drugstore Full Coverage Foundation Routine” that’s the routine I follow when there’s something special, and I really wanna glam up. In this blog post I’m sharing my “Everyday Foundation Routine”.
L’Oreal Nude Magique
If you follow my blog from the beginning you will know this has been my all year round favorite foundation, since forever. I absolutely love it. For me, if a foundation doesn’t have a pump, it’s a deal-breaker. I don’t like using foundations which are packaged like this one, but the foundation itself is so amazing, I can put up with it. It’s a liquid to powder foundation, for my combination skin it’s perfect. But this type of formula works for so many skin types. I use this foundation in every season and it works great.
Normally you need at least 2 foundations, for hotter and colder months. But it works for me all year long. It has a medium coverage. I don’t like full coverage all the time. Even if I have some imperfections I don’t like to hide them completely. It’s actually really upsetting, because I couldn’t find this foundation anymore where I live, I don’t know if they discontinued or what, but recently we were in Italy and I saw it, GRABBED it immediately. So if you can find it where you live, it’s worth giving a shot.
It feels very different than other foundations I have used. It glides on the skin, never really sinks in the pores, it sits on the skin, and then sets into a powder. Which sounds really confusing and normally foundations that just sit on the skin are not my favorite. But the liquid to powder formula makes it different than those foundations. The only reason I don’t use it on special occasions is because it has a major flash back. It gives you a weird white cast when it’s photographed with flash. But I’m not getting flash photographed every time I wear makeup(lol). Anyway, it’s RUNNY, like water Runny ! So be careful while pouring it out, comes in a glass bottle, and that’s everything that you need to know about this foundation.I use a Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply this foundation.
Maybelline Instant Anti-Age/Age-Rewind
As I mentioned earlier I don’t cover any imperfections completely. So I only use concealer to conceal my major mommy-eyes dark circles. My under eye area needs help(lol). This Concealer is a cult favorite, everyone loves it, and it’s loved for a reason. It’s affordable and accessible, works great and stays put through the day.
Rimmel Stay Matte
Yes ! It’s a new untouched one, because I hit pan on the old one, and it looks awful. I use Transparent one, it looks so light in the pan, but it has no color pay off. You can choose the one that suit your skin tone the best. But for me, I like to keep it medium coverage. I don’t powder my whole face, but the T-zone (Forehead – Nose – Chin), because that’s where I tend to get oily the most. If you have normal to dry skin, you don’t even need to set this foundation, since it’s liquid to powder formula, but I like to set the T-zone with powder to make sure it doesn’t get shiny after few hours.
Sleek Professional Finishing Powder
If I know I’m just gonna have makeup on for 3 4 hours, I use Rimmel Stay Matte powder, but if I know I’m gonna have it on for longer, I like to make sure it wears well through the day. I use Sleek finishing powder.
About 70% of the messages I receive are always about what foundations I use, and also which brushes I prefer. So there you have my Everyday foundation Routine.
I hope you find this post helpful.
