Day time Smokey Eye

Day time Smokey Eye

Smokey eye look can never go out of style. It’s the most gorgeous makeup look of life. In this blog I’ll be sharing one of my favorite day-time smokey eye. I have been wearing it a lot lately with different lip colors. Even though it’s a smokey eye it’s not over-empowering, it still has a soft and subtle vibe. It is perfect for any day time events, and you can easily transition it into night time just by smudging a black eye pencil around the eyes.

Step #1

I used a medium brown eyeshadow “BUCK” from UD naked original palette and blended it towards the brow bone. Don’t be afraid to blend towards the brow-bone, it helps creating a really smokey eye effect.

Step #2

This day-time smokey eye look, takes literally 5 minutes, it is perfect for busy moms and there’s no liquid eyeliner to mess it up. Next I added a purple eyeshadow from Sephora Cube on the outer corner of the eyes, and created a very subtle cat eye.

I then mixed the purple and brown eyeshadow and blended it on the lower lash-line. You can never create a perfect smokey eye without smoking it out on the lower lash line.

After that I applied a LIGHT WASH of champagne eyeshadow from Sephora Cube on lids. Go with a light hand.

You can skip this step, but when I do a day time smokey eye, I like to wear a nude eye pencil on the water line. I used Essence Big Bright Eyes, eye pencil.

On lips I used a MAC matte lipstick called “Taupe” (the darker one), the light nude is “Nyx Retractable lip pencil, Nude”.

If I wear the same smokey eye look continuously, that means I really love it. Three times in a row. Oh well, Gotta love a good smokey eye.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Good Luck!
