Brows on Fleek
I know brows on Fleek sounds so over-rated and over-done. For me personally when something gets so hyped up I just lose interest. But, the truth is brows do make a huge difference in the way you look. We all know brows frame our face and bla bla bla ! Yeah Since you’re reading this post you’re well aware of brow grooming importance. To be honest I don’t believe in following all the “makeup rules”. If a “no” in the rule book is a “yes” for you, do it anyway! It’s all about what makes you feel your best. Below are all the things that have worked for me and helped me figure out my most flattering brow look;
Well-groomed brows to begin with
No matter how many different products you use to define and fill in your brows, if you don’t have clean lines and proper brow shape, it’s a waste of everything. Thread, wax, pluck, get the professional help you need and figure out the brow shape that fits your face the best. I personally love my real brow shape, it has a slight arch and they don’t need a lot of grooming (luckily). I just wax the glabella(area between the brows) and pluck the strays for a really clean and well-groomed look. And that works for me.
Products that work for you
Finding the right products according to your preference is another important step, some people like really soft brows and some people love to rock bold brows. Depending on what you prefer choose the products, pressed powder form is great for beginners or people who like soft brows. If you like really bold brows, brow pomade type of products work the best to achieve it. I personally like something in between. My personal Preference is a brow pencil (If it’s wooden make sure to sharpen it for more realistic look).
You don’t realize how much of a difference brow gel makes until you use it. It’s not just to set your brows in place, but also it makes you filled in brows look so much more natural and groomed. Also a tinted brow gel is always great to add a quick tint to your brows whether you’re wearing natural or glamorous makeup.
Carving out the brows
Again it’s about preference.Whether you like a super carved out brow or just a soft clean defined line, carving out your brows makes such a huge difference. You can either only use an eyeshadow, or go all out with concealer, brightner or cream shadow base, but always remember if you use any “tacky to touch” products, always set it before going in with any eyeshadow.
Lastly if you want to really glam up your brows, and define the arches of you brows, highlight the highest point of your brow arch with a highlighter. It will reflect light beautifully and give the illusion of higher brows and defined arch.
Whether you’re going for a soft everyday brows or super bold glam brows, use these tips according to your preferences. And don’t be afraid to experiment. I myself went through different phases before I figured out my most flattering brow combo.
I hope you find this post helpful.
