Benefit How to look the best at everything Review
I haven’t tried a lot of benefit products. I love their blushes and porefessional face primer. This kit was a nice way for me to try out more of benefit products, without buying full size products and decide whether I like it or not. Benefit How to look the best at everything comes with 5 products inside, technically 6. With this set you can basically try out full face base products.
- Mini Brush
I’m new at cream contouring and I’m still deciding whether the cream technique is for me or not, so I bought this set in darker shade so I can use a variety of consistencies to see what works the best for me and I needed to repurchase porefessional primer anyway. However they’ve 3 options to choose from. You can either pick one with your right skin tone or like I did. If you’re a makeup beginner this product is going to make things so much easier for you. Everything is in one place, they have marked step by step numbers plus they have also added tips and tricks on how to use the products.
One thing that I really do not like at all about this kit is that, the powder is stuck in the case and it has no cover nothing. You can take all the products out, except face powder. Yes you can, once you destroy the case and then put it in a Z palette or something. But I would have preferred it, if it was packaged like concealers and popped out. The book shaped box is actually not a useless part of packaging. You can use it later on to put your basic makeup products plus it has a good sized mirror.
Porefessional primer is a silicone-y primer. It has a slip to it which makes you foundation glide on beautifully. It blurs out the pores and makes your skin pretty smooth. It’s a repurchase so obviously I like it. But if you’re not in to the primers with “slip” you’re not gonna like it.
Foundation, I love it ! I used it underneath the foundation where sun would naturally hit, to bronze up the face and it gave the most natural looking and subtle sun-kissed look. I really like to formulation of this foundation. It’s medium coverage and can be built up to full. Plus it’s a perfect balance of matte and dewy. I have combination skin and it worked perfect for me. The packaging is great, you get to use every single little drop of the foundation.
Concealer, you get 2 shades of boi-ing concealer. Benefit Boi-ing concealer is much talked about product. I personally find the consistency to be too heavy to use underneath the eyes, that’s just personal preference but I loved using it as a cream contour. Worked perfectly and blended out beautifully and once it was set, it did not move, at all!
Powder, I did not use it. Just because of how it’s packaged I find it useless. I took at the products out and put it in my everyday makeup bag and used them. I’m not carrying a giant book around, so I can use a mini powder product. Again, I wish it was packaged differently.
Mini benefit brush is a good travel brush. It is soft and unlike other brushes that come in a kit, it’s not crappy. I like benefit mini brushes, it’s like the ones that come with the benefit blushes. It’s such a versatile brush. You can use it for blush, bronzer, contour, setting powder or highlight. It works perfectly for all those things.
Over all I’m only bummed about the powder, rest of the set is amazing. I hope you find this post helpful.
