7 Genius Style Tips for Moms
As you transition from a “single life” to a “mom life” everything changes, even the smallest things in your life, e.g keeping your hair down counts as a luxury that you can’t afford, that’s why after having a baby a lot of women opt for shorter hair styles. Believe it or not the way you look at yourself has a great impact on the way you feel, and not feeling like yourself, plus not having any time or energy to figure it out either doesn’t help the situation, and eventually you just give up. I think it’s super important to not let go of the actual person that you are, and just find the right balance where you’re happy with yourself. In today’s blog post I’m sharing 7 of my absolute favorite ways to look polished while being comfy.
Comfy but Stylish Shoes
Honestly these days there’re so many options to choose from, from slip ons, to sneakers, to pumps and what not, there’re a billion choices out there which are not just comfortable but super stylish. A pair of shoes can change your whole outfit and take your confidence to the next level.
Basic but Polished Outfits
You can never go wrong with basics. If you find skinny jeans uncomfortable, go for jeggings, I find skinny jeans to be totally comfortable but that’s just me. Jeggings are super stretchy and comfortable and pair it up with a drapey top. Basic but Polished at the same time. Also traditional clothes are so forgiving and pretty, IT’S UNREAL.
Then to make that super basic and polished outfit a little bit more fun, add dainty jewelry, it doesn’t even feel like your’re wearing any jewelry and it looks CHIC.
Little Makeup Magic Touch ups
The difference that an under-eye concealer, mascara and tinted lip balm can make is mind-blowing.
I have always loved sunglasses but saw their true potential when I became a mom(haha). A perfect pair for sunglasses can transform your look.
Sleek Ponytail or braid
If you have short hair, honestly you’re good. Straight, wavey, messy, short hair just look good. If you have long hair a Sleek ponytail is the CHICEST way to get your hair out of the way, whether you go for high, low or side-ponytail, and braids are cute too.
Be happy and Have fun
It’s all about having fun. You can’t survive parenthood without a good sense of humor, laugh it away and have fun with it. Got spat on ? So what? have stains on your shirt ? So what? OWN IT, LOVE IT, ROCK IT ! Or if it bothers you so much, keep a Tide to go instant stain removing pen with you or a change of clothes, and always look at the bigger picture. Count your blessings, love your family and yourself too.
I know the pictures are not super great quality but I never take any pictures other than selfies, so that’s what I got. This post is for women who actually want to keep a healthy balance, if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it. I hope you find this post helpful.
