3 steps to Fresh and Clean Skin – Makeup Removal
First step to any good skincare regimen is Clean Skin ! That’s the only way you can actually benefit from all the skincare products you put on top. If the skin isn’t clean, there’ll be stubborn clogged pores, breakouts, and uneven skin texture, which will lead to hyperpigmentation and acne scaring, and everyone wants to avoid that the best they can. It’s very very important to take your makeup off properly, washing your face with water, or even wiping it off with a makeup removing wipe is not enough, but still something’s better than nothing. In today blog post I’m sharing how I remove my makeup now, and why I love it. Plus other alternatives, that I also love, just in case you need some other options.
Step # 1
First step for me is to remove my eye makeup. I soak a cotton round in Garnier Fresh Essentials Eye makeup remover, and put it on my eyes, and let it melt the makeup, instead of rubbing it. After about 30 40 seconds I wipe it down and out upwards, and it takes of majority of the eye makeup, and then I just gently remove whatever’s left.
I do use my clarisonic, which you can use directly on the makeup to remove it, but I still prefer to take it off with Micellar water first. I have talked about Garnier Micellar water about a thousand time on my blog, so that’s no surprise. It’s very gentle and works great.
Step # 3
Super Clean Skin
Before I started using Clarisonic, I would just do those two steps and wash it off with water, but when I started using Clarisonic(mia 2) oh Lord I was shocked by the amount of makeup that came off after removing my makeup “properly”.Clarisonic definitely helps to deep clean the skin and pores and prepares it for any products you put on top.
- Olive oil is an amazing makeup remover. It breaks down and melts off all the makeup and you can wash it off with your face wash.
- You can use Johnson’s baby lotion or Pond’s cold cream as a Milky or Creamy cleanser and then again wash your face with your regular face wash.
- Coconut oil works for everything. It’s super affordable and super effective as well. It not only removes your makeup but nourishes you skin too.
