10 ways to use MAC Fix+
In today’s blog-post I’m sharing 10 ways I like to use Mac fix+. Mac Fix+ is more than just a finishing spray and you can use it in so many ways and benefit from it. Firstly, people always confuse it for a makeup setting spray that elongates the wear of your makeup, well there’s a big difference in setting spray and finishing spray. MAC fix+ is a very one of a kind product, even though now, after so many years many brands are coming out with their own version of it, but the results and benefits you get from MAC fix+ I don’t think any other brand has topped it up yet. MAC Fix+ is a mineral rich face mist that has quite a few skincare benefits, and it makes your makeup look as natural as possible. It takes away all the cakiness of your foundation and makes your foundation look like second skin. I personally like to use it as a,
I have combination skin, and especially on sunny days, my face turns in to a grease ball. Wearing a regular moisturizer underneath foundation makes my foundation sit weird on skin. And 9 out of 10 times when I get ready I’m always in hurry, I don’t usually have enough time to wait for the moisturizer to sink in the skin before I put on makeup. I spritz MAC fix+, it absorbs in to the skin in seconds and makes my skin look and feel super hydrated and moisturized.
Whenever I need my makeup to last all day, without going patchy and weird, this product acts like a perfect light-weight primer. Again, I spritz it on my bare face, and I kid you not my makeup stays locked in to place all day. It’s kind of a pet-peeve of mine when makeup looks all blotchy and patchy. When I wear makeup I like to make sure it looks as good as possible for as long as possible.
Combination Skin Confusion
Now anybody who has combination skin, especially the combination of oily and dry knows how confusing it is to make your makeup look good. Obviously you’re not gonna apply different products on different areas on your face. So the biggest tip I can give to people with combination skin is, to spritz MAC fix+ on your beauty blends and dab it on to the dry areas of you face, or everywhere except the oily T-zone. It will balance out your face. And use a mattifying prime in the T-zone. Your makeup will look flawless the whole day.
Dry Skin Rescuer
You might have seen people with super dry skin using oils, with their foundation to make their skin look dewy and keep the skin hydrated. Which absolutely works, but if you already have MAC fix+, it works absolutely the same and gives you the same look. It hydrated and gives you a very dewy finish, depending on how much you apply. This product is for everyone.
If you wear makeup for long hours, you’ll know how important and annoying makeup touch ups are, when you powder the areas you need or build up the product anywhere, it starts looking cakey or clings on the oily areas and looks patchy. Sptirz MAC fix+ very gently in that area, and it’ll melt the excessive product and will make your makeup look even and refreshed.
Intensify the Eyeshadows
Yes I’m sure you’ve heard about this trick. MAC Fix+ intensifies the eyeshadows and works as a great medium for pigments. But why I love it so much is, because, it makes even the really sheer eyeshadows opaque. I was not so impressed with BH cosmetics 88 neutrals palette, and I thought well it was a waste of money, but then I used MAC Fix+ to intensify the eyeshadows and it literally has become one of my favorite palettes now.
Highlight on Fleek
Yes, these days it’s all about intense highlight. If you’re someone who really likes a strong highlight but don’t want spend too much money on different (liquid and pressed) highlighting products to create the look, you don’t have to MAC fix+ will do that for you. Spritz it on to the brush before your apply the highlight, and it’ll instantly make it look intense.
Refreshing Face Mist
The truth is one bottle is gonna last you forever, so you better get the use out of it. This works great as a refreshing facial mist as well. It cools you down and refreshes you makeup, especially on hot days.
Like I mentioned before, when I get ready I’m always in a rush and using a moisturizer or lip balm and letting it absorb is not so ideal for me. Just like it hydrates and moisturizes you skin, it does the same for your lips, and cuts on the getting ready time, and products.
Comfort for Matte Lips
I absolutely love wearing Matte lipsticks, and especially the liquid lipsticks, but those can be drying as heck. Whenever you feel like your lips are starting to look and feel like dry prunes and the liquid lipstick sucked all the moisture out of your lips, dab on some MAC fix+, it will hydrate the lips, while keeping the matte look. I personally love this shade of Sleek MakeUp Liquid lipstick “birthday suit”, but hate the formula of the product. Oh it’s drying, and patchy. Whenever I wear liquid lipstick I make sure I spritz some MAC fix+ on the beauty blender and dab it on to my lips, and it wears so much better.
